- AC:
Alternating current, 50 Hz or 60 Hz
- Actuation current:
The actuation current I ANZ is the current necessary to move the armature into the stroke position (see also VDE 0580)
- Actuation time:
The actuation time t1 is the sum of the response delay and the stroke time t2 (see diagrams in VDE 0580)
- Actuation voltage:
The actuation voltage uANZ is the voltage necessary to move the armature into the stroke position (see also VDE 0580)
- Adapter:
Device for diverting the valve air connections in order to increase compatibility
- Ambient temperature:
Describes the temperature of the surroundings at which valve operation is permitted under maximum allowable self–heating
- Area of application:
Describes the area in which, and the way in which the valve may be deployed
- Armature:
Metal part moved by magnetization in the armature system
- Armature guide:
Passive component in which the medium is transported
- Armature system:
Active component for controlling the medium; consists of the armature guide, magnet core and armature
- Bi-stable:
Unit remains activated until the reset switch is operated (e.g. manual switching 1 = On – 0 = Off)
